Australia is falling behind in Generative AI

In the change between Q4 2023 and Q1 2024, we've seen the emergence of Generative AI focused skills across job postings in the US and UK. However, Australia is lagging behind in this trend.

The US now leads with eight new AI-related skills, including Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), ChatGPT, AI Chatbots, Langchain, and prompt engineering.

The UK has also added four new skills: Generative AI, LLMs, Artificial Neural Networks, and Speaker recognition.

In contrast, Australia has only incorporated the broad category skill of Generative AI.
