Our Story
The Pearson Workforce platform was initially launched in 2017, to prepare the world for the future of work. Known then as Faethm (opens in a new tab), the solution offered a world-leading combination of AI research and workforce analytics.
On the back of a unique new wave of workforce challenges driven by COVID-19, Faethm responded swiftly and scaled rapidly. The team expanded from a tight knit group of experts to a global innovation house, and introducing first-to-market approaches for technology impact and skills analysis - becoming the go-to solution for strategic workforce projects.
In September 2021, Faethm was acquired by Pearson (opens in a new tab) to underpin it's workforce product strategy with its connected ontology, insights and AI capabilities. This brought with it a signifcant step forward - fueling the execution of Faethm's workforce insights with Pearson's focus on learning.
In 2024, the Pearson Workforce solution is brought to you as the first and only productivity-led enterprise upskilling and automation platform. Powered by the same experts behind the world-leading innovations of Faethm, and underpinned by the evolving methodology that has helped over 100 global enterprises tackle their most critical workforce challenges.
